JA Partners with Coronado Elementary School -- 5th year in a row!
Our first meeting with the principal of Coronado Elementary was at Barelas cafe in Martinez Town. We quickly learned that she was a JA Kid! Before we knew it, we developed a strong partnership with this amazing principal who so tenderly calls the students at Coronado, her children.
Something special happened this year. The children dressed up in the profession they want to be when they grow up. We saw police officers, doctors, teachers, etc.
This is a particularly special school as it is a bi-literate school, teaching both English and Spanish.
Ms. Ulibarri and her staff are wonderful and I would say that our JA volunteers had a great time not only teaching but learning from these special young people.
